A Fun Day In Austin

Members of TLHA had the distinct pleasure of participating in the Annual Austin Museum Days . We were set up on the lawn of the gorgeous Neill-Cochran House along with many other artists who were displaying their arts.

James Rice had his medicinal display on hand and spent a lot of time telling people young and old about medicine during the 1860 time period while Janet brought her spinning wheel "Victoria" and allowed people to see how yarn is made.

Paula Frederick, Janet Rice, and Katelyn Heisch spent the afternoon educating the visitors on the different styles of dress -- early 1850s, late 1850s, and early 1860s -- and engaging in discussion about our Association -- and might have done a bit of recruiting as well.

If you have pictures and stories from an event, we would love to include it in our blog.

Please contact us at info@texaslivinghistoryassociation.org and we will work with you to get that blog posted!
