About the event

We are now a full quarter in the "new" century. As we move forward in the present, the past is also moving forward. With this in mind, we are thrilled our host city for the 2026 Annual Conference -- Fredericksburg, Texas -- boasts not only two 19th Century sites, The Pioneer Museum and Ft. Martin Scott, but also a 20th Century site The National Museum of the Pacific War. Join us in jumping forward into the past with presentations and workshops focusing not only on the 19th but 20th century life in Texas.

Enjoy a docent-led tour and behind-the-scenes access at the National Museum of the Pacific War, explore historic buildings and artifacts at the Pioneer Museum, and step back in time at Fort Martin Scott, a State Archeological Landmark showcasing frontier life through guided tours and original structures.     Visit the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm at LBJ State Park, just 20 minutes from Fredericksburg. Experience life on a 1918 German American farm through a guided tour of historic buildings, a roundtable with park staff, and demonstrations of the farm’s textiles, kitchen, and daily foodways.
